Environmental protection

Natural environment is the supreme good for all of us. We are all aware that we have to take advantage of it with extreme caution to provide safe future for the next generations. We make constant efforts to make our plant an environmentally friendly facility.

The "Strumet" Zinc Coating Plant is equipped with state-of-the-art environmental protection devices. All process tanks are closed tight and equipped with extractors. They are provided with a chemical leakage protection system in case the tank looses its tightness. The system is fitted with pumps and buffer tanks that can cope with simultaneous tightness loss in a few tanks. Tank extractors are connected to an absorber to prevent chemical vapors from being released to the environment. The Zinc Coating Plant releases no liquid waste, because process solutions operate within a closed circuit.



The zinc coating furnace whose key element is a tank filled with melted zinc is equipped with a tight lid. Therefore, fumes and vapors produced in the process of submerging structures in liquid zinc are not released directly to the environment. The venting system with a high efficiency of 50,000 m³/h is fitted with a filtration system to provide thorough cleaning of the air going back to the atmosphere.




We monitor pollutant emissions on a regular basis.
